The third in a series of innovative books for intermediate level students of Italian (CEFR B1-B2). The series presents some of Italy's most important cultural icons not only through interesting, informative articles and images, but also through original short stories in the form of a graphic novel, bringing these famous personalities alive in a new and engaging way for students of Italian.

Letteratura presents us with four representative characters from the world of modern and contemporary Italian literature: Alessandro Manzoni, Luigi Pirandello, Andrea Camilleri and Umberto Eco. This is an innovative book, as in addition to texts on the main aspects of thought and works and a short biography, it presents the student with a work, a novel or a story, by each writer in the form of a graphic novel created ad hoc by designers established. So, perhaps for the first time, four famous literary works, or parts of them, in an illustrated version to facilitate reading and make it accessible to students at this level.

A section with activities, created in collaboration with the University for Foreigners of Siena, offers students the opportunity to retrace what they have read in a more motivating way.

The volume contains the keys to the activities and an Italian-Italian glossary, accessible via QR code, and can also be used in self-learning.

The Letteratura volume is the third of this new Edilingua series, designed together with Smack di Milano, and aims to offer the world of Italian culture through the most important and well-known figures. The Italian series is aimed at B1-B2 level students of the Common European Framework who study the Italian language as an L2/LS.

Letteratura ci presenta quattro personaggi rappresentativi del mondo della letteratura italiana moderna e contemporanea: Alessandro Manzoni, Luigi Pirandello, Andrea Camilleri e Umberto Eco. Si tratta di un libro innovativo, in quanto oltre ai testi sugli aspetti principali del pensiero e delle opere e a una breve biografia presenta allo studente un’opera, un romanzo o un racconto, di ciascuno scrittore sotto forma di graphic novel realizzata ad hoc da disegnatori affermati. Quindi, forse per la prima volta, quattro famose opere letterarie, o parte di esse, in versione illustrata per facilitare la lettura e renderla accessibile a studenti di questo livello.

Una sezione con le attività, realizzate in collaborazione con l’Università per Stranieri di Siena, offre agli studenti la possibilità di ripercorrere in maniera più motivante quanto letto.

Il volume contiene le chiavi delle attività e un glossario italiano-italiano, accessibile tramite QR code, e può essere usato anche in autoapprendimento.

Il volume Letteratura è il terzo di questa nuova collana di Edilingua, progettata insieme alla Smack di Milano, e mira a offrire il mondo della cultura italiana attraverso i personaggi più importanti e conosciuti anche all’estero. La collana Italiani si rivolge a studenti di livello B1-B2 del Quadro Comune Europeo che studiano la lingua italiana come L2/LS.
