Dr Anneli Haake is a Swedish language teacher, an author and a translator. She is a native Swede and lived and studied in Sweden until her mid-20’s, when she moved to Great Britain.

She has a PhD in music psychology from Sheffield University and is particularly interested in the musical aspect of language. She also has a teaching degree from Sheffield University and a SWEDEX qualification (Swedish language test examiner) from Folkuniversitetet in Sweden. Her passion is to help people across the globe to learn about Swedish language and culture, through modern technology.

Anneli has translated a number of books, academic articles and book chapters for Swedish universities, worked for a period as a Swedish subtitler for films and movies, and as a language tutor at Middlesex University for their BA Interpreting and Translation students.

In 2005, she set up her own company, Swedish Made Easy, an online Swedish language school where she teaches students from all over the world. Since then, she has taught over 10,000 hours of Swedish online, and is a specialist in teaching Swedish to English speakers. She helps Swedish language learners to improve their Swedish, revise for Swedish language exams, prepare them for moving to Sweden, and is a keen and enthusiastic promoter of all things relating to the Swedish-speaking world.
