Menschen im Beruf Tourismus teaches the specific language required for the industry. Great emphasis is placed on the communicative skills required for each vocational context. Specialist vocabulary and frequently used expressions and language are practised systematically and real situations taken from daily life at work are presented in lively dialogues and a series of authentic listening and reading texts.

The coursebooks have an attractive full-colour design with practical, relevant exercises to make learning less monotonous. Menschen im Beruf Tourismus is suitable - given the necessary previous knowledge of the language - as course material in its own right for purely specialist courses or can be used in conjunction with any other general language coursebook of level A1 - B1.

The course teaches and practises vocabulary and frequently used expressions and language that employees in the tourist industry require for their work. Following on directly from book A1, students learn how to make themselves understood in different situations at a holiday resort, e.g. in a restaurant, on day trips or when guests are about to leave the hotel.

Anknüpfend an Band A1 lernen die Kursteilnehmer sich in verschiedenen Situationen am Urlaubsort wie z.B. im Restaurant, bei Ausflügen oder der Abreise im Hotel sprachlich zu verständigen. Typische Sprech- und Hörsituationen werden dabei aus der Perspektive der Angestellten an der Rezeption oder im Restaurant geübt.

Parallel einsetzbar zu jedem allgemeinsprachlichen Lehrwerk der Niveaustufe A2 – wegen der übereinstimmenden Progression besonders geeignet als fachsprachliche Ergänzung zu dem Lehrwerk Menschen.
