Le cahier d’exercices de Défi 3 est un ouvrage tout en couleurs, construit en parallèle du Livre de l’élève et de ses thématiques, qui permet à l’apprenant de s’entraîner et d’approfondir ses connaissances.

Le cahier d’exercices propose :

• des exercices qui reprennent et approfondissent les compétences linguistiques de l’apprenant avec un travail systématique sur le lexique et la grammaire
• une page d’activités de phonétique pour mettre en pratique les notions abordées dans les capsules de phonétique du Livre de l’élève
• une autoévaluation pour faire le point sur ses compétences linguistiques et culturelles, et des activités qui amènent l’apprenant à réfléchir sur les cultures et les faits de sociétés francophones
• une préparation au DELF avec des conseils et des explications pour appréhender au mieux l’examen, et des activités d’entraînement aux différentes épreuves

Défi is an innovative and motivating French as a foreign language course for adolescents and adults.

Placing French-speaking cultures and interculturality at the core of the learning process, the books in this collection use interesting, stimulating and topical documents as a basis for enhancing the four main skills. The level 3 Student's book comprises 9 units in total, each of which are divided into two thematic dossiers. Each dossier includes: 1 double-page spread centred around discovery, 2 double-page spreads presenting introductory documents, plus a wealth of grammar, vocabulary and cultural activities (in the form of mini tasks), which will prepare students for the final task at the end of each dossier.

The dossiers feature an array of varied, authentic documents (excerpts from tabloid magazines, blogs and text messages, etc.) that integrate key vocabulary and aspects of grammar, thus enabling students to strengthen their reading comprehension skills whilst at the same time acquiring cultural and linguistic knowledge.

Furthermore, each unit concludes with a page dedicated to learning and consolidating vocabulary, which includes word clouds, mind maps, collocations, etc.
