Simon Kemp is a Fellow of Somerville College, Oxford, where he teaches French language and literature for the college and university. His recent work includes: French Fiction into the Twenty-First Century: The Return to the Story and Defective Inspectors: Crime Fiction Pastiche in Late-Twentieth-Century French Literature, and he is currently working on the literary representation of consciousness over the last century.
